Storytelling
Fan experience
Fans are the audience for everything artists publish. They sign up in seconds, scroll a vertical Feed of episodes, and watch, like, comment, and share — no application, no trial. Here's the full fan journey from sign-up to settings.
Signing up as a fan
Head to /register and pick the Fan role, then enter your name, email, and a password. Fans skip the artist application and trial entirely — you get instant access.
- 1
Choose the Fan role
On the register screen, select Fan (not Artist) and fill in name, email, password, and confirm. - 2
Verify your email (when enabled)
If email verification is turned on, you'll enter a 6-digit code at /verify-email. When it's off, your account is ready immediately. - 3
Land on the Feed
You're taken straight to /feed — there's no approval queue or trial countdown for fans.
The Feed
The Feed at /feed is a vertical, TikTok-style scroll of published episodes. Swipe or scroll to move from one episode to the next, full-screen.
- Two tabs — For You (personalized) and Trending (what's hot right now)
- Each episode shows live engagement counts: views, likes, comments, shares
- Sign-in is required to browse the Feed
- Tap an episode to open the full watch experience
Watching
Tapping an episode opens the player at /watch/[id], where you can engage with the story.
- Full player with like, comment, and share actions
- View count and average watch time are shown on each episode
- Signed-out viewers can watch, but can't like or comment
- A view counts once per signed-in viewer — re-watching won't inflate the number
Fan avatar & settings
Open /feed/settings to make your fan account your own.
- Avatar — upload your own image or let the AI generate one for you
- Display name — the name that appears on your comments
- Change password — update your account credentials anytime
